Oakland has a municipal water system that
serves the Town and some surrounding areas. Irrigation is $2.71 per 1,000 gallons
Rates for non-resident services are 1.5
times the above.
($16.50), and a 10% utility tax.
Bills are sent out on the 1st of the month, and may be paid by mail, put in the Town Center drop boxes or in person at Town Hall.

Excluding the streets of Largovista & Orionvista which is now Zone 2 Zone 2 Old Town streets including Oakland Pointe, Southern Oaks and Winter’s Landing Subdivisions and commercial properties north of SR 50. Including John's Landing Largovista & Orionvista Zone 3 Oakland Nature Preserve, Johns Cove and Trail side subdivisions the remaining westerly portions of the Town to the Lake County Line. When can I wash my vehicles? You may wash your car anytime only with hoses equipped with automatic shutoff device.

Deposits are returned when the account is terminated
and there are no outstanding bills. The Town is responsible for maintenance of the meter and upstream delivery system. The customer is responsible for maintenance of the delivery system and fixtures on the outlet side of the meter.
Discounts for filling your pool Oakland does not discount water bills for filling your pool.
The Town of Oakland will prosecute all water theft.
The town may imprison and/or fine water thieves, up to $1000! Developers and contractors who need to tap into a fire hydrant can do so legally by applying for a permit at the Water Department and getting a hydrant or hose bib meter.
Town employees are trained to detect meter tampering and evidence of water theft.
