Heritage Day

The Last Weekend in October is reserved for Oakland's Heritage Day

Activities include games, prizes, raffles, food fun and festivities.

This year:

Friday Night:  Manager's Movie Night   Come to the Town's Meeting Hall to watch shows from the Andy Griffith Show which brings us back to yesteryear.  Popcorn and Punch will be served.

Saturday:  The Oakland Nature Preserve runs Heritage Day in Speer Park on Tubb Street from 10 am until 4 pm

The Town will be videotaping your stories of Oakland in Historic Town Hall some come by and let us put your oral history on tape for everyone to see and hear.

Sunday:  Old Fashioned Family Reunion in Speer Park.  This year we want to invite everyone in Town to come to Speer Park from 2:30 pm until 3:30 pm for Anniversary Cake and to meet your neighbors.
