It is the intent of this division to promote, protect and improve the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the town by the creation of an administrative code enforcement board with authority to impose administrative fines and other non-criminal penalties to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective and inexpensive method of enforcing any codes and ordinances in force, where a pending or repeated violation continues to exist.

POWERS

The enforcement board shall have the power to:

Adopt rules for the conduct of its hearings.
Subpoena alleged violators and witnesses to its hearings. Subpoenas may be served by the sheriff of the county or police department of the town.
Subpoena evidence to its hearings.
Take testimony under oath.
Issue orders having the force of law to command whatever steps are necessary to bring a violation into compliance

Meetings: The Board meets on an as needed basis. Meetings will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall.
