General Functions: The School Advisory Committee provides advisory oversight for the operations of the Oakland Avenue Charter School. The S.A.C. reviews the school budget, financial reports, educational and other program operations, and serves as a liaison to the Town Commission on school related issues. The Oakland Town Commission actually sets policy for the school, but carefully considers the recommendations of the S.A.C. The committee is comprised of seven voting members: (1) Town Commissioner, (3) business leaders, and (3) parents.

Meetings: The S.A.C. meets at the Town Meeting Hall, 221 N. Arrington Street, at 7:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month.
